United Recovery Services, Inc., (“URS”) is committed to honoring the privacy of our customers and visitors to our website. This commitment ensures that our website describes our information practices and lets users give informed consent to participating in fee-based services. As a website visitor or customer of URS, your privacy is one of our primary concerns. We seek to provide a secure and private website environment. In order to utilize our background screening services (collectively, “Services”) we request information from our customers that may be considered private and personal. We want you to understand the terms and conditions relevant to the collection and use of that information. Acceptance of Privacy Policy.
By completing the enrollment process to become a customer or by using any of our Services, you agree to be bound by the provisions of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy, you must discontinue your use of URS’s Services and terminate your account with us.
Information collected.
On URS’s website you can order our Services. The types of personal information collected during our registration process may include, but shall not be limited to, a customer’s name, point of contact and credit card and/or billing information. We will also use personal information provided by our authorized customers to perform the following types of Services: background checks, criminal history checks, motor vehicle checks, education history checks, professional reference and credential verification, credit checks, social security number verifications, past employment verifications, wants and warrant checks, bankruptcy records searches, liens and judgments searches, workers compensation claim record searches, driving records searches, Form I-9 employment verifications, drug screenings, OFAC Watch List scans, OIG Exclusions List searches, GSA Procurement Exclusion searches and other types of background screening and pre-employment and employment investigative searches.
Our corporate policy dictates that we closely monitor and guard the distribution of personally identifiable information. We may send personally identifiable information to service providers for use in order to help us complete one of the Services mentioned above. When we send private data or personally identifiable information over the Internet it is encrypted using 128-bit encryption so that it will remain secure if data is intercepted. It is important to note that while URS makes reasonable efforts to ensure the safety and security of all personally identifying information, it is not possible to, and we do not guaranty, the security or privacy of information from interception over the Internet.
With whom we share information.
Except as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy, URS does not sell, rent, lease, share or give away mailing or customer lists or personally identifiable information about our customers or visitors to our website. Customer and visitor information that is submitted through our website may be processed for the purpose of providing our Services only. Unless we have your consent or are otherwise required by law, we will only share the data you provide online with other business partners or agents who are acting on our behalf for the uses and Services described herein. Credit card data.
URS recognizes your concerns about web commerce and transactions using bank and credit card information. Therefore, we are committed to keeping personal information secure during commerce transactions. We use a secured SSL encryption with all direct transactions that involve using credit card or banking information. This process allows URS to send your credit card number and personal data over the Internet directly and securely to a credit card company. Once encrypted, only the credit card’s authorization company has the ability to decrypt it. URS never displays your credit card number online. Additionally, we store any personal information you submitted on forms (i.e., address, e-mail and billing information) on our secure servers. Our servers are monitored and controlled. All customer information collected through our web transactions is treated strictly as confidential information. Only those employees and business partners with proper identification and authorization are provided authorized access to this information.
Security of website and information.
URS is dedicated to providing for the security of your information. To maintain and ensure the accuracy and appropriate use of your data and information and to prevent the unauthorized access or disclosure of your information, we have installed and implemented administrative, physical and technical safeguards designed to reasonably secure the information we collect online. Choice of law.
This Privacy Policy will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, excluding its conflict of laws principles. The exclusive personal jurisdiction of and venue for all disputes arising out of this Privacy Policy shall be the state and federal courts having jurisdiction over those matters arising in Williamson County, Tennessee and you consent to such exclusive jurisdiction and waive all objections to such jurisdiction and venue.
Severability.
If any provision of this Privacy Policy is held to be unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws, and the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
